National Blue Economy Strategy
Commissioned by IGAD, a NorTec co-founder authored the baseline report on Sudan’s Blue Economy, trained a multi-ministry national unit, and developed the country’s official 5-year national strategy, approved in February 2023.
Great Green Wall Initiative
Partnering with the Ministry of Agriculture, we provide sustainable solutions to accelerate Sudan’s 2,000 km portion of a monumental African initiative set to restore 100 million hectares of land and create 10 million jobs.
Empowering Gum Arabic Producers
By establishing cooperatives, providing training, and introducing modern tools, this project increased the quality and value of gum arabic for small-scale producers. The initial phase was so successful, the model is now being scaled to 6 additional states.
